Ta Da Moon, Alice: The Golden Age of Manned Space Flight - Part 2
This study group picks up the story of manned space flight where Part 1 left off. We will follow the exploits of Soviet Cosmonauts in their Vostok and Voskhod projects, and the Russian plans for a manned lunar landing. We will also chronicle the American projects: Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo. We will set these pioneering space flights within the context of the turbulent decade of the 1960s. The instructor has nourished a lifelong passion for manned space travel. No class on November 24.
