Hercule Poirot Through the Years
Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot is one of the most distinctive characters in detective mystery fiction. His portrayal in film provides an actor with a considerable challenge in conveying the character. Few have been ambitious enough to try. We’ll watch 4 actors portray this character in films based on 3 of Christie’s novels, including a rarely seen adaptation from Japan. George Ferrell is a retired instructor, and Christie and detective mystery fiction fan, who has been researching the history of Christie on film, and led last fall’s study group on Miss Marple films. For classes held at NCRC, there are multiple parking options. Parking passes for the structure can be purchased through the OLLI office and are $5 per day and can be purchased for all classes. Metered parking is available on a first-come first-served basis. You may also use the park-and-ride and free public transportation options. If you are interested in this option, please call the office (734-998-9351) and we will give you all the details.
