Climate Change -- 3/20/20 Daypass - Climate Law and Policy - From the UN to City Hall
Drawing upon her decades working in government and NGOs on global and U.S. climate policy, Professor Haverkamp will discuss the state of international climate treaty negotiations and implementation, the effects of U.S. federal regulatory rollbacks and a withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, and how state and local governments are moving forward with their own laws and policies. Jennifer Haverkamp was the U.S. State Department’s Ambassador and Special Representative for Environment and Water Resources, directed EDF’s International Climate Program, and served as an Assistant U.S. Trade Representative. She earned a JD from Yale Law School, an MA from Oxford University, and a BA from The College of Wooster.
