The Physics of Modern Technology
In this study group, we’ll learn about some of the physical and mathematical concepts behind various aspects of modern technology. In this six-session study group, we’ll cover topics such as the sensors that make autonomous vehicles possible, fusion power, encryption, hydrogen fuel cells and other renewable energy sources, LEDs and digital cameras, and digital memory. The style will be primarily online lecture, with some online demonstrations and discussions. There will not be any assumed knowledge of math or physics, the only pre-requisite is to be curious (and a device with which to use Zoom). Questions? Contact Brian at brianworthmann@gmail.com.
