Magic in Some Shakespeare PlaysThis study group explores Shakespeare’s use of magic in his plays by focusing on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth and The Tempest. OLLI Study Group Leader Robert Lamphear guides the examination of the supernatural in Shakespeare’s work with these plays as a framework for discussion. Students will better understand Shakespeare’s occult investigations through his plays and their appeal to his audiences, then and now. Both novices and scholars of Shakespeare welcome.
