Making the Provision of Water Services Efficient and Equitable
Making the Provision of Water Services Efficient and Equitable
Dr. Nancy G. Love
Public sector water infrastructure in high income countries (HICs) is primarily centralized, where resources serving large segments of a community‚Äôs population flow in and out of a single hub. The future, however, requires more flexible and sustainable approaches.  This presentation will review the history of water infrastructure, the consequences of that history on the quality of water services, and options for the future both in HICs as well as low and middle income countries.
Dr. Nancy G. Love is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University Michigan. Along with her students and collaborators, Dr. Love works at the interface of water quality, infrastructure and public health in both domestic and global settings.
